The Belgian Embassy in Nairobi is solely responsible for reviewing applications, issuing visas, and rejecting applications for Schengen visas with the main destination Germany for Rwandan nationals, including appeals.
The German Embassy in Nairobi is responsible for reviewing applications, issuing visas, and rejecting applications for Schengen visas with the main destination Germany, including appeals, for third-country nationals (e.g., Ugandans, Kenyans, Congolese) with a residence permit or habitual residence in Rwanda.
National visas (e.g., students, spouses of German nationals, volunteers, etc.) with a validity of more than three months are processed by the German Embassy in Kigali.
