Consular jurisdiction: The Embassy in Kigali is responsible for issuing national visas to applicants residing throughout Rwanda.
Since August 1, 2025, all Schengen visa applications must be submitted through Nairobi. Rwandan nationals traveling to Germany for up to 90 days (Schengen visa) should apply through TLS in Nairobi at the Belgian Embassy. All non-Rwandan applicants residing in Rwanda must submit their Schengen visa applications to the German Embassy in Nairobi.

Appointments for visits in other matters can be arranged in the period of: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
No electronic devices are allowed on the Embassy compound, mobile-phones can be left at the entrance, laptops or bigger bags cannot be brought or kept at the Embassy.
