The German Embassy in Nairobi is responsible for reviewing applications, issuing visas, and rejecting applications for Schengen visas with the main destination Germany, including appeals, for third-country nationals (e.g., Ugandans, Kenyans, Congolese) with a residence permit or habitual residence in Rwanda.

National visas (e.g., students, spouses of German nationals, volunteers, etc.) with a validity of more than three months are processed by the German Embassy in Kigali.
