The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kigali is looking for:

a gardener

The position is to be filled as of 1^st January 2026 (full time permanent position, 40 hours per week)

Job description:

• Gardening services at the Ambassador’s residence and other Embassy premises
• Sweeping, cleaning, minor repairs
• Maintenance of garden tools
• Support in the preparation of official events

Applicants should have the following qualifications and experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in gardening services with excellent recommendations
• Good knowledge of local plants, trees etc.
• Fluent Kinyarwanda and English
• Excellent physical condition
• Good team skills
• A friendly and service-oriented demeanor, even under pressure; motivation and reliability

The work contract will be drafted according to local Rwandan Labor Law. The salary will be subject to the Embassy’s salary scheme for local employees.

After a successful selection process, a medical examination will be required, carried out by a doctor appointed by the Embassy. In addition, a personal/security check will be necessary. Your willingness to participate is required.
