Students of the Primary School of the Pallottine Sisters of Masaka are happy about their new school kitchen, which has been funded by the German Embassy in the framework of the Embassy’s Micro Project Fund 2017. “The porridge we prepare is for many children the first and for a few of them the only meal per day” explains Sister Bellancila Mukandahiro, the Regional Superior of the Pallottine sisters for Central Africa, to Mandy Hupfer from the German Embassy. “The old kitchen was far away in another corner of the premise of the Pallottines. This why we had to carry the pots  with food for around 850 students all the way to the school building. Sometimes we could not even provide a meal for all of them. Thanks to the German Embassy’s support this changed and we have the kitchen now right next to the school, which has only been built in 2014” she added.
