The missions abroad help German companies to behave “compliantly” - i.e. in accordance with German law and the laws applicable in the host country.
The missions abroad have a special role to play in combating corruption abroad: They are contact persons for German companies operating abroad and gain a direct impression of the economic and legal conditions in the host country. They support German companies in complying with the German laws and the host country´s laws.
